Judith VIsker

About the Artist

Born in a rural Minnesota town, Judith Visker lived in several Minnesota towns/cities before moving to Surprise, Arizona within the Phoenix area. Prior to Arizona, her first career was Professional Nursing and she followed that with 6 years of college in Minnesota to become an artist. She was introduced to art largely as she followed the career of her second cousin Robert Rauschenberg. This influence instilled in her a wonder for all things creative, including art history.

Non-representational creative paintings served her well for a number of years but she now paints colorful representational shapes and patterns using acrylics, mixed media and oils. She often chooses house-like shapes to show the warmth and security of home.

Viewers notice a consistency in Judith’s style throughout her work and enjoy the humor which she often includes. As this artist’s work matures it becomes more about a narrative influenced by situations and people surrounding her in life.
