Lorraine Lukes-Heckman

About the Artist

Lorraine Lukes-Heckman grew up on a dairy farm near Door County, Wisconsin. She helped her mother and father with the daily farming chores, but secretly dreamed of being an artist, inspired by the nearby growing artist colony at Lake Michigan.

She began practicing her art at a young age, later moving to Minnesota to begin her schooling in the field of art and study at Lack’s Atelier School and joining the Lake Country Pastels Society.

In 2014 she moved to Arizona, further pursuing her art and the love of the Southwest. She enjoys studying reflective light and landscapes and is currently a member of the Arizona Pastel Artists Association.
