About the Artist

As long as I can remember I have loved the creatures that live in fairy tales.  I love the art of Arthur Rackum the illustrator as well as Brian Froud and the Hensons particularly the Skeksis from the 1980’s movie the Dark Crystal.  These have been my inspiration in creating my own clay sculpture creatures.  Often these creatures begin looking like a normal animal like a bird, rabbit, fox etc. but then they morph into something completely new.  As an artist I love making things in fired clay that the viewer has never seen before.  I often use varied textures to enhance my creatures.
